When Jacqueline follows her longtime boyfriend to the college of his choice, the last thing she expects is a breakup two months into sophomore year. After two weeks in shock, she wakes up to her new reality: she's single, attending a state university instead of a music conservatory, ignored by her former circle of friends, and failing a class for the first time in her life.
Leaving a party alone, Jacqueline is assaulted by her ex's frat brother. Rescued by a stranger who seems to be in the right place at the right time, she wants nothing more than to forget the attack and that night--but her savior, Lucas, sits on the back row of her econ class, sketching in a notebook and staring at her. Her friends nominate him to be the perfect rebound.
When her attacker turns stalker, Jacqueline has a choice: crumple in defeat or learn to fight back. Lucas remains protective, but he's hiding secrets of his own. Suddenly appearances are everything, and knowing who to trust is anything but easy.

Whoo! From the very start of this book I was enraptured. You are immediately introduced to Jacqueline who is finding out just what it means to not plan your life around someone else's! Mrs. Webber takes us on a roller coaster ride - the heartbreak, healing, moving on, and how important it is to be able to defend yourself.

I'll be honest - my favorite female character in the book was Jacqueline's roommate Erin. With a kick-butt and feminist attitude our girls' bestie helps lighten up the mood and certainly made me laugh multiple times! Erin is a strong and great side character to our heroine, and really propels Jacqueline into action by signing them up for self-defense. Now, I won't give too much away, but I can honestly say that through the entire book I was laughing out loud or wanting to hug Erin for being such a great friend!

Jacqueline herself had an interesting personality. It's easy (hehe) to relate to her. A young woman finding herself in a complicated world, and not to mention placed on a college campus where she's pretty sure she doesn't belong. You watch Jacqueline grow into a stronger individual - and can't help but champion her her to gain her independence and take control of her future!

Lucas, swoon worthy, sexy, lip pierced Lucas, with his seemingly rebellious and nonchalant persona takes your breath away. Brooding man? Um....Yes please! I love the fact that Mrs. Webber really gives us a good look at Lucas, shows off the different parts of him that make him him. Now I'm a fan of tall, dark, and mysterious, and Mrs. Webber serves it up to us right on a silver platter! Lucas is a male character you can't help but wish you could meet in real life. With his insightful, intelligent and witty banter he's easy to adore. The best part: Lucas is more than just a charming guy. He has issues too. For once it's not just the female heroine who's got problems the size of Texas.

As Jacqueline and her story progresses and all the characters grow in their own ways, they truly endear themselves to you. Mrs. Webber brings a whole new light on a horrible situation and how in the end, things can get better. In all Easy draws you in, keeping you guessing nearly the entire time. Dealing with a sensitive subject Mrs. Webber gives us a heroine who learns to fight back, the friend everyone should have, and a delicious guy to dream about. You can certainly bet I'll be waiting with bated breath to see what next treat Mrs. Webber gives to us!
