That makes Unmaking Hunter Kennedy incredibly loveable, and exactly what every reader needs as a pick-me-up!
In it we meet Hunter Kennedy, a seemingly troubled teen who is dealing with his fame that has come from being in a band. After wrecking a vehicle and being forced into a sort of therapy-rehab Hunter ends up traveling all the way to nowhere-ville Colorado (Yay! Love all books that take place in my state!). Here, he’s expected to learn to be a normal teenager and deal with all the issues he’s got. And boy does he have issues!
Vere Roth and her brother are given the duty of helping Hunter Kennedy, and become a part of his “transformation” into a high-school nerd. Vere is amazingly determined, courageous, and so loving that I felt like hugging her whenever she was down (serious, who messes with such a sweet girl?!). Her perspective is so refreshing and warm that I had to keep reminding myself that she’s a teenager (because at times she’s way more mature then me! Go Vere!).
Following their story and falling in love with Hunter and Vere is magical and breath-taking. In her sophomore novel, Anne Eliot reminds us all of the innocence of love and how it feels to fall in love for the first time. It’s a novel that will have you hanging on up until the very end, and wishing for more of the sweetness. Because when it comes to Unmaking Hunter Kennedy, the sweetness is what counts.

I write full time, and I'm all about fate, destiny, and how it feels to fall in love. My favorite thing to write is a first kiss.
I've worked as an online marketer and develper for Towrrecords.com, FOX TV, and UNM Engineering. I love to teach writing workshops and work with adults, kids and teens who enjoy learning about 'story' and who want to write or learn about story structure and the craft of writing.
I'm blessed with an Italian-Canadian mom and an Irish-American dad. This means my summers are full of huge family reunions, food, yelling and too much travel. When not pining for Tim Horton's to open in Colorado, I ponder Joseph Campbell. His work has inspired me to study story structure and how emotion within a story can move people through time and across cultures. Emotion is the key to everything. I owe JC for keeping me on a journey through world mythologies, folk tales, and the collective unconsciousness while I search for my own bliss in stories.
